According to a slideshow just posted by Bing.com, Hot Springs Memorial Field is featured as one of the country’s 10 easiest airports into which to fly.   The slideshow, labeled “Easy Flier,” can be found online at http://www.bing.com/travel/content/search?q=Easy+Flier%3a+Hot+Springs+Memorial+Field+Airport%2c+Arkansas&FORM=TRSSPG  Bing is a search engine launched by Microsoft in June 2009.

Hot Springs Memorial Field has a longstanding reputation for outstanding customer service to its general aviation and commercial aviation customers.  It offers daily flights to Memphis International Airport through Portland-based SeaPort Airlines.  “From the terminal to the landing it was simply the most unbelievable, hassle-free flying that I have ever experienced,” said one SeaPort customer.   The airport also hosts monthly art exhibits in partnership with the Traditional Art Guild, along with a wide variety of community events, from balloon festivals to car shows.  For more information on the airport or to arrange a group tour, contact George Downie, airport director, 321-6750.

When Bill Clinton was president, Memorial Field Airport in the historic resort town of Hot Springs, Ark., welcomed Air Force One and dignitary-filled jets regularly. These days, there are fewer celebrity sightings and just a few passengers for the nine-seat commercial flights to and from Memphis each day on SeaPort Air. But that doesn’t mean the airport is empty. Every month, Memorial Field hosts a reception to honor the local artist whose work is displayed inside the terminal.
