Terracon Wildlife Management

Terracon Little Rock

Terracon is a dynamic and growing employee-owned firm of consulting engineers and scientists providing geotechnical, environmental, construction materials, and facilities services to clients at local, regional, and national levels. Since 1965, Terracon has grown from a small Iowa geotechnical firm to a large, multifaceted national firm. With more than 2,700 employees and more than 130 offices nationwide, Terracon has the resources of a large firm with the atmosphere of a small one. This growth is the result of talented, dedicated employees working toward a common goal to complement each other to deliver success for clients and employees. Our services are delivered on a timely basis with consistently high value and attention to client needs. Terracon has consistently achieved growth above the industry average. This is evidenced by a current ranking of 38 in Engineering News-Record’s 2011 listing of the Top 500 Design Firms, as compared to a ranking of 103 in 1995.

Bird strike Wildlife at Airports

Wildlife Hazards

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Airport Safety and
Operations Division AAS-300 issued a Certalert on June 11,
2009 to remind airport operators of their obligation under
Part 139 Requirements to conduct wildlife hazard assessments.
Airports who have experienced a triggering event as defined in
Section 139.337(b) of the regulations must conduct a full one
year, four season wildlife hazard assessment. Furthermore,
airports that have not experienced a triggering event are
encouraged to voluntarily conduct the assessment.
