ARFF Training

This year, the Airports Division with support from the Chicago Fire Department will be offering live fire training for those trained Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) professionals who have already (as a minimum) received their initial ARFF training. This training will meet the live burn requirement outlined in 14 CFR Part 139.319(i)(3). The training opportunity will follow the 27th Annual Great Lakes Region Airports Conference on Thursday, November 3rd. For individuals registered for the conference, this training opportunity will be offered at no additional cost! For those individuals that wish to only participate in the Thursday sessions of the conference, a reduced fee of $150 will be charged. Slots are limited, so please reserve early!

During the conference on Thursday, November 3rd, we will have the Detroit Metro Airport Fire Department conducting a presentation on ensuring fueling safety at your airport, in addition to Mr. Steve Lee, Assistant Deputy Manager of Aviation - Operations at Denver International Airport, to talk about airport emergency responses at DEN.

We are hoping to have a fantastic turn-out for this great opportunity.
