About Me

Sightline is a team of airfield marking consultants. As the experts in the industry, we wrote the Airfield Marking Handbook and our mission is to improve airfield marking standards worldwide.

We originally found MAO based upon a google search involving rust discoloration in markings, and promptly joined the network. My name is Mike Speidel, and I'm here to help if anyone on MAO has questions!

Marking Training

Hello MAO! Sightline's last Airfield Marking Symposium of the year is in Kansas City, MO, October 18-20, 2011. If you're responsible for inspecting the airfield for deficiencies (e.g. poor markings), you need to come to this symposium. How are you supposed to distinguish between a good marking and a poor one? You can find the answers you need and become an expert at identifying why a marking needs maintenance and how it should be done....

Hello MAO,

Sightline is a team of Airport Marking Consultants. I found MAO through Google and immediately found questions about marking issues and their respective solutions. In a nutshell, that's precisely what Sightline does for airports. We have 30+ of experience in pavement markings, including primarily authoring the Airfield Marking Handbook, published in September of 2008.  Our mission is to help airports worldwide realize effective marking systems. Our motto: Save time. Save money. Save lives.

Feel free to contact me with questions!

Welcome,

My Airport Operations is a new site to help airport operators and maintainers with compliance and maintenance issues. I wanted a place where we can share ideas, training, concerns, problems, (questions and answers) and boast about our airports. This site is still growing and I welcome all input. Until I can do away with the requirement to request friends please become friends with all members. That way we can all help and contribute to each other.

My email address is gbarentine@myairportoperations.com please feel free to contact me for anything.

Thanks

-Glen-
