North Carolina's Raleigh-Durham International Airport doesn't have to worry much about bird strikes, but officials say a new wildlife threat has emerged recently: coyotes. "Over the last week, we have had about two or three sightings of coyotes around our property," says spokeswoman Mindy Hamlin, noting that the airport has called the U.S. Department of Agriculture to help trap the animals. Late last year, a plane hit a coyote on the taxiway, and airport officials say they are determined to avoid a repeat of that incident. WRAL-TV (Raleigh, N.C.) (8/20)
