Glass Beads

Should be a simple answer. The advisory circular is not very clear on the use of glass beads in the surface painted hold signs. Do you put glass beads in the red paint as well as the white paint or just the white paint? Some of our markings have both and some have just the white. We are trying to make everything consistent.

Liquid Runway Deicing Chemicals

We currently use E36 as our liquid deicing solution for the airfield and are looking at other cheaper chemicals. I was wondering what other airports use?   Our city uses a standard brine solution for the roadways and it is much cheaper then the E36. Would something like that be acceptable to use?    The FAA doesn't have a list of acceptable chemicals and only states the chemical has to meet SAE specifications.

Hey phfops

I'm trying to create a LOA for our airport's RSA in accordance with the FAA AC on ground vehicle operations (150/5210-20A). The AC provides a template for this purpose but it would be helpful to see a LOA that has been approved by a Cert Inspector. Has your airport created a RSA LOA? If so, would you be willing to share a copy of it with me?

Thanks for your time and consideration

Matt
