Is runway friction testing a requirement at 139 certified airports? The AC says it's a recommendation. Wondering what other airports do.
I know since the introduction of TALPA we rely more on our experience and perception, and only use the MU if things get questionable. Before when we had to issue MU anytime they were under 40, we were doing it a lot more. Since the RCC is determined by the contaminant, we just confirm braking is in the same ballpark.
