Good Evening all!
With the new Draft A/C coming out on Ground Vehicle ADS-B Out Squitter Equipment, it has my mind already turning, since we are one of the airports that are on the list to be approved first for its use. That being said...I am wondering what you are using for call signs for ATC to vehicle communications at your airports. At our airport, the on duty manager is "OPS 60" and the airfield specialists are OPS 651-654, or their personal radio call signs (mine, for example, is 611). Can you share some insight with me, as we start to look at making call sign changes?
Thanks!

Log in to leave a comment or Create an accountBoth LIT and MSY have a system similar to MEM's, where individual people have numerical callsigns but the Duty Manager or Operations Supervisor on duty are designated Ops 10 (LIT) or Oscar 2 (MSY).
Anyone not acting as the primary contact for Ops on that shift uses their personal callsign.
